January 2018 - Storm has been saddled, bridled and accepted a rider!!!

November 2017  - Storm has started training in the round pen, is a quick learner and beautiful mover! Everyone wants to work with this sweet guy so he is getting lots of handling time! Looking forward to his progress!

October 2017 -  Storm continues to please all who handle him! Very sweet boy and quick learner! He currently shares a pasture with a 12 year old gelding who is showing him the way. Easy to catch and halter, leads well, stands for grooming and farrier/vet.  A little more weight and he will be ready for steady training. Sept. 2017 This little gelding is as sweet and laid back as they come! He is steadily putting on weight and super easy to handle! We are all in love with him and ecited to see what is to come for him!

Aug 24, 2017 - Storm is a 2 y/o Quarter Horse who was rescued from the flood waters of Hurricane Mathew.  His original owner later claimed him, but was forced to rehome due to the loss they incurred in the flood. His next owner developed health issues and returned him to Pender County Animal Shelter.  He was then gelded and brought to us here at CFER. Due to his unfortunate past year, his handling has been minimal, however, Storm is excelling in his training! He is already easy to catch, leads over obstacles, ties, stands for grooming, easily loads on trailer and had his feet trimmed Saturday. He is putting on weight and is an easy-going pasture mate. Watch for updates!
